Compensation for the loss of property caused by the wild elephants

1 Govt. Order No. and date : G.O. No. FEE:52:FWL:96 dated 12-2-2002
2 Prescribed format : General application may be submitted.
3 Mode of Application : The requisition should be submitted along with the details of loss and certificates of having the property.
No fee is prescribed.
4 Eligibility for the facility : From havoc of wild elephants, the owners who have lost their property such as Houses, Sheds, Pump house, Fencing etc., are eligible for getting of compensation.
No Compensation is given for the loss of property which is in the Encroached Forest area.
5 To whom the application to be submitted? : Submitted to concerned Range Forest Officer.
6 Sanctioning Authority : The Jurisdictional Deputy Conservator of Forests.
7 Compensation amount : Maximum of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand only) in each case.
