Western Ghats Task Force (WGTF) is a special initiative of Govt. of Karnataka, established in September 2008. It has the mandate of developing policies and programmes for ensuring conservation and sustainable development of the ‘Sahaydri’ region. WGTF tries to achieve these objectives by developing strategies based on sound scientific base with people’s participatory approach.
